Hoo Was Lucky

I went down to Chula Vista along San Diego Bay this morning to see if I could capture photos of some shore birds that hang out around the Chula Vista Wildlife Center (now called the Living Coast, I think). Not much was going on to photograph but I did capture an egret as it flew past.

I was with a friend and we decided we would visit the Center before we left. Not much happening there either as all the birds and animals were in cages. We were about to leave when a Guest Experience Coordinator approached us and asked about our photography. She and her associate then offered to take out a couple of the birds so we could shoot some portraits of them. Bonus Time.

Every now and then I get a chance to see some pretty amazing birds, this was one of those times.  It turned out to be a pretty great day after all.
