Thanks for letting me know about it.

Unknown,
I've always liked catboats and Bolger's Bobcat. In fact on my first boat, a Devlin-designed Nancy's China, I used the Bobcat sail plan for the gaff-rigged main.

steveStevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17060896232365651376noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5137810012036013226.post-70476085004252013972015-12-25T18:35:23.851-05:002015-12-25T18:35:23.851-05:00Reading this book years ago inspired me to build t...Reading this book years ago inspired me to build the Bolger "Bobcat" also known as "Tiny Cat". I still think of the book and was happy to be reminded of it here. I never made it to buying a larger catboat but have always admired their lines from a distance.Steve H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09374049464887934672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5137810012036013226.post-12500954697128760782015-12-25T16:28:53.955-05:002015-12-25T16:28:53.955-05:00This is a great story from a by gone age - A compa...This is a great story from a by gone age - A companion to this book is Roland Sawyer Barths book 'Tales Of The Intracoastal Waterway' - Barth specifically copies Plummers voyage (although he excludes the return trip part). I have read them both and they are delightful tales. - Apart from anything else it proves that Catboats are great little ships - in fact before I am done I am going to build one - Simple, seaworthy within the context they are designed for and shoal draft.Alden Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06601028197387499096noreply@blogger.com
