I'll mark waypoints for significant features, protection, harbors, etc, then make up the route as I go along. But I have heard of your method and will look into it. I noticed that you are loading Waypoints i...Steve,<br /><br />I noticed that you are loading Waypoints in your Garmin. Over the years I found out that it is easier to create a Route and then follow the Route. I use GeoGarage, a free web site to lay out my route. Then I transfer it to my Garmin by a GPX file. For Watertribe races I screen capture the GeoGarage charts, print double sided and laminate to create a flip charts. On a small boat full size charts can be a hand full.
