That is a cast aluminum platter made by CASTWARE PROD INC. of Burbank, Ca., circa early 1950's, a set of six which was bought by my folks before I was around, now in my possession. Great for broiling steaks, veggies, whatever. Anything cooked or served on them just tastes better.
