schooners!

The schooners from the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race are heading down the Patapasco River to Chesapeake Bay as we speak.  

I'm a big fan of the race and have had the pleasure on sailing aboard the schooners four or five times over the last twenty years or so.  Here is a post with some photographs from a race aboard the Schooner Virginia.

The forecast is great this weekend and I look forward to sailing along the Portsmouth waterfront where the schooners will be tied up.  I can't wait!
