A couple of great days sailing out of Elizabeth City on the Pasquotank River, though trapped briefly by a Coast Guard waterfront demonstration. You can see the video here.
Glad you enjoyed! I was out zipping around my local lake here in The NC piedmont, good steady winds for once! This could very well have been the last sailing day of the season, we shall see. Did Elizabeth City buy and refurbish the old shipyard, they were going to in 2018. So now they have transient docks?
Tom, the shipyard is still in a state of disrepair. I think their plans were put off for one reason or another. There are a couple floating docks in decent shape and they let me leave SPARTINA there now and then. steve
Very kind of the owner to let Spartina roost there. I had this weekend penciled in to go to E-City, but I wound up being on-call for work. Sigh. Beats "actual work," despite one 3am call on Sat, but still sucks. Next time!
