what do you do?

Some people who were watching our SPOT Track during the trip noticed that we anchored at 12:40 in the afternoon. A few of them asked us "What do you do all afternoon and evening while you are anchored?"

I told them......

You take off the foul weather gear and relax in the warm sunshine,

you eat a plate full of kung pao chicken,

then take a nap and awaken to watch the remnants of thunderstorms pass to the north and south,

then you set up the bivy's and rest in the aft cockpit of the boat,

while the sun sinks behind the trees on Kent Island,

and the anchor light starts to glow at dusk,

and you watch the clouds make amazing shapes,

as you sit, having a glass of wine and enjoying a cool, clear, bug free evening,

and then you listen to Monday night football on the radio.

That afternoon and night was one of the best parts of the trip. It went too quickly. The last thing I remember was waking up about 11:30 as Bruce turned off the radio at the end of the game.
