The magical Maine light! You've captured it well. Speaking of which, that island off your stern - Little Babson - is the subject of a wonderful art book by a local landscape artist, Tom Curry. Over the years, he's painted the island in all weathers and light, forming a body of work that he calls simply "Island." Like a watery version of Cezanne's Mont Sainte-Victoire , this little island keeps calling the artist's eye. I'm bemused and happy that it's called yours!
More prosaically, how did the seals on the Babson Ledge behave overnight? They sure are loud, hope you had some sleep. Enjoy Castine and the Bagaduce! Wishing you fair winds as always, but friendly warning - there's none up the Bagaduce. The general store in Penobscot is worth a visit though, if you can stand motoring all the way up there.

Not a peep from the seals, just a glance or two as I came in the anchorage.
