social distancing

Social distancing walk with the Pilgrim on the Dismal Swamp Canal trail.  The photographs are deceptive.  There were a lot of people out there, but all appropriately distanced.

I do wonder if we all envied the turtle.  How nice to be able to draw back into the shell and hide.

I'm thinking it is physical distancing not social distancing - social mental health will be very important in the coming months and using the internet to keep in toouch with relatives and friends and networks wil be critical. So Ive decided it is physical not social distancing - anyway, aside of that - keep safe, stay well Steve. arwen is going into mothballs for the next few months as i think we are about to experience a similar lockdown to those in Spain, France, Italy and Germany - in the coming days.

More beautiful photos of our scary times. Thank you, Steve. I keep thinking of Rachel Carson's "The Silent Spring," only this spring the people and cars are quiet and the birds are singing. I hear them all over and it's transcendent. Small blessings, I'll cherish them.....
