You made it down to Gwynn's Island?

You were only a couple miles from my boat, which sits in Queen's Creek - directly across Hills Bay from Milford Haven Inlet.

Bill, I think we were closer than that. Jackson Creek?? How far away is that from Queen's Creek? Great area. I'll be back. steve

Jackson Creek is on the north shore of the Piankatank. Queens Creek is on the south, right at the bottom of Hills Bay.

Basically, when you come out of Milford Haven Inlet, you come through the swing bridge and then through the little channel that lets you out into Hills Bay. If you continue straight across Hills Bay, heading basically west-ish, you would quickly enter the small channel that leads into Queens Creek. Instead, you guys turned north and crossed the Piankatank, south-to-north, to enter Jackson Creek and go to Deltaville.

And you went through the Hole in the Wall? Neat! I've been near it but never actually gone through it - I've heard it's shoaled up terribly, so the water gets pretty skinny. Unless you have a small, shallow-draft boat, or good local knowledge, I've heard it's best not to try it, because it's getting harder to find. My boat draws 3-1/2 feet with the centerboard retracted, so I probably could make it if I were careful.
