the boat, the Big Easy

It always makes us feel good when they serve our sushi on the boat.  It seems like a reward for having ordered well.  Everybody gets to pick one regular roll and one specialty roll, then we say serve it all together and we'll mix and match.  Mix and match we did.

The daughters were in town for the evening, meeting up with Mom for a flight out tomorrow morning to New Orleans.  A bit ahead of schedule they treated me to a father's day dinner at Hanaki.  The waitress and sushi chefs may have noticed our quiet little celebration - a couple of complimentary desserts were brought to our table.  It was a very nice evening.
