canceled

Loaded and ready to go early this morning, I decided to check the forecast for Charleston one more time.  Nighttime temperatures (at right, below) in the low 30s and down to the 20s at one point.  Could I do two weeks with nights that cold?  Maybe.  Would it be safe?  Possibly.  Would it be enjoyable?  Probably not.  I have canceled the winter sail.

Might as well start off 2025 with a smart decision, right?  Happy New Year.    Steve

Happy New Year to you and Fred! I think I made the correct decision. I had been hoping the forecast would improve, and it did compared to the forecast a few days prior. This morning it had not improved enough to think that I would have been comfortable and safe. At least now I've got my food all packed for the spring trip.
