day six - a day in port

Beautiful, calm morning.  Wake at 5:30 out of habit, no rush to go anywhere, the marina probably won't have any staff there until 8:00.

Take the cut between Great Diamond Island and Crow Island, want to motor down the length of Peaks Island to look at possible anchorages.  I see one spot with mooring balls and what appears to be a Welsford boat.  Maybe a Navigator??   And there is a second area that might make a good anchorage outside of the ferry channel.  Will keep those in mind for future trips.

No wind at all, just motoring at idle speed, enjoying the peaceful morning.

I stop at Peaks Island, tie up at the little dock next to the ferry dock.  The cafes aren't open yet so I take a short walk and then head back to the boat.

Arrive at the fuel dock at Spring Point Marina at 8:00, top off the fuel can and directions to my slip for the night.

It is a day of chores.  Off load the trash, empty the head, dry out gear, get a shower, do laundry, top off the water bottles and walk to the convenience store for a few snacks.

I spend the afternoon in a restaurant, sipping iced tea at the bar while catching up on the log.  The cold tea is good, so is the air conditioning.  Dinner at a little Mexican place just around the corner.  Perfect.
