down by the river

Here is another photo from my walk by the Elizabeth River the other evening. That is at Town Point Park, the river is in the background and the lights on the far side are from the old (1823) Naval Hospital.


As I said the snow
birds coming up the intracoastal waterway have not arrived yet. Anyone trying to come up today will be delayed as a locomotive has derailed on a trestle over the Albermarle and Chesapeake Canal. I live within a few hundred yards of this bridge but can't see it. I can hear the news helicopter flying overhead. No one was injured. They have closed the canal until they figure out how to move the train.
