the forecast

I stopped by Waterside Marina on the way to work this morning.  It was the beginning of a beautiful day.  Snowbirds were tied up in the marina and anchored on the far side of the Elizabeth River in Crawford Bay, all of them taking a break from their journey south.

I had been thinking that Chestertown would be the end of my sailing season.  I now see that the forecast for this weekend is very nice.  Maybe I've got a week or two of sailing to go.

Steve, I am with you. I am putting off winterizing the engine on the boat just in case! The water temp in mid-Chesapeake is still in the upper 50's so, the engine can still stand an 'easy' freeze of 30 or so.

Here's to hoping we get another weekend or two in!
