I commend you for having the fortitude to even think of photography at that moment, with that immediately before you. Had it been me, you would have seen only a photo of an empty plate - the aftermath being the only evidence of what was. Because it would be only after wolfing all that down that I might have even pondered the possibility of making a photographic record of it.
We're having gas station chicken tonight. Granted, it's from the Go-Co, but still. Dang it.
