Sails left up all night?
Yes, they do that all the time. The wind is very consistent, usually light, and when it is blowing, out of a fairly constant direction. Even boat rental places will leave sails up when tied to the dock for much of the day.

Wow, I can't imagine. I've never been in a location like that.
BTW, the forecast here keeps changing but in places reports were saying anywhere from 1" to 16" of snow.
