The last time I checked we had 14 inches of snow. And it is still coming down. This is the most I have ever seen here. Above is a sailboat tied up near the public ramp at the Great Bridge Locks. Unusual to see a boat there. I'm not sure what the story it.
I had hoped to get some more photos along the waterfront. But the roads were a mess. Maybe tomorrow.
And there is the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal, part of the ICW. The snow birds are long gone.
And there is Jack, a short dog in tall snow.

4:15 and we've got 3+ inches here, Steve.
Haven't look at the weather map yet, but I suspect it is heading your way. Stay warm.

Is your dog part Dachshund?
Unfortunately, no.
I'm sorry to say he is ALL Dachshund.

Steve, thats some impressive snow fall you have there. Snowmobile type stuff. All the eastern seaboard is getting this storm...
with an exception. Newfoundland. Weird indeed. +4C no snow on ground and none falling.

Yes, this is quite a storm. It has been a long winter for us already. Glad you have dodged it so far.

Eastern seaboard narrowly defined. We only got a couple of inches in Rock Hall - snow blew across the roads like crazy though. Happy that it's going to warm up and disappear. BTW, Wilmington DE got 3 or 4 inches while some areas around Philly and in central southern Delaware got close to a foot. Jersey shore got more.
MaryLou,
I guess hit us and then slid offshore for a while. Glad you did ok. I shouldn't complain about the storm, it was more of an inconvenience than anything else.
I was looking at the charts of Rock Hall and Chestertown just last night. Brought back some nice memories.

You got hit far worse than Richmond did. We got MAYBE 4 inches, and it was mostly gone by the end of the day yesterday.
Were you a photographer for the Longview newspaper in Longview Texas around the early 80's? I worked there in the camera dept. and I remember a Steve Earley in the photo dept.
Yes, that was me.
