It has been a busy week at work with a lot of time on the road but I've been able to keep up pretty well with the
Everglades Challenge. That is
Kiwibird below at White Horse Key. Her blog says a Friday arrival in Key Largo is probable.

Here is a screen shot of the Everglades. Kiwibird and SandyBottom seem to be traveling in a group of kayakers located in the center (the skull and the cross bones mark the spot!) of this satellite photo. That has to be beautiful country there.

I was glad to see that they stopped at a nice restaurant for a meal, much better than eating freeze dried food. You can read about their break from the race
here on SandyBottom's blog. Bruce and I have made more than one decision based on a map indicating a restaurant nearby. Hey, if you can head inshore and get a good meal, why not??

The good news is that I have been working a lot and earned some extra time off. That means a four day weekend. There is a chance of sailing one day, the first time on the water this year, and also a chance for a road trip to check out some marinas for the trips this Spring.
I've got the boat loaded and ready to go.
