watching the wind

Here is a very cool wind map that I found at Bay Dog's site the other day.  This is of course a still image, but check it out and you will see the wind flow.

According to the site, the map is a personal art project that is based on wind data from the National Digital Forecast Database.  There is a disclaimer to not use the map for flying, sailing or fighting wildfires.  I will not make my sailing decisions based on this map, but I will certainly visit the tracery - as the artist calls it - now and then just for enjoyment.

As for tomorrow, it does look to be hot....but with a nice breeze.  I hope to launch early morning.
