Paul called to say he had heard from Dawn. I had been watching on the SPOT track map and she arrived at the ranger station in Everglades City about thirty minutes ago. She told Paul she had some very painful abrasions that made it very difficult to paddle.
Her plan as of now is to continue to the checkpoint at Chokoloskee, rest there a day and then see if she can continue on. If she does spend a day in Chokoloskee she will skip the wilderness waterway to make up for lost time.
Beyond the abrasions, Paul said, she is feeling fine.
UPDATE -- at 12:30 she is back on the water bound for Chokoloskee
